Diamonds handed a home draw in FA Cup
The tie will be played to a finish next Tuesday night
AFC Rushden & Diamonds have been handed a home tie with Newark in the first qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The is set to be played at Hayden Road next Tuesday night (September 22) and it will be played to a finish that evening with no replays scheduled for this season.
Newark play in the Premier Division of the Midland Football League and earned their spot after a 4-0 win at Maltby Main in the preliminary round at the weekend.
The tie will come three days after Andy Peaks' team get their Southern League Premier Central campaign under way with a trip to Nuneaton Borough on Saturday.
