Corby Town issue rallying call urging fans to get to Steel Park for Wednesday night clash
Corby Town's board of directors have issued a rallying call to get as many supporters as possible through the turnstiles at Steel Park for Wednesday night's clash with Rugby Borough (ko 7.45pm).
It has been revealed that manager Gary Setchell, his coaching staff, and all of the Steelmen players have this week agreed to voluntary pay cuts, with the club facing a 'challenging' financial strain.

Lower than expected crowds this season as well as rising running costs have taken their toll on the Corby Town coffers, with the board revealing they are currently having to 'absorb losses in the region of £80,000 per year'.
It hasn't helped that the team hasn't played a home game in more than five weeks, with their last Steel Park fixture on November 1, and with the Steelmen due to take on Rugby Borough on Wednesday night, the board are pleading with fans to get themselves, and their friends, to the game.
The rallying message was postedon the club's website and read: "Fans, tonight, more than ever, your club needs you.
"We’ve been transparent about the challenges we’re facing. Costs are rising, attendances haven’t hit the levels needed, and although we worked hard to keep the playing budget the same as last season, it simply hasn’t been sustainable.
"Through all of this, the players and management have shown incredible commitment by taking a pay cut to help keep the team competitive. They are giving everything for this club — and tonight, they need you behind them.
"Tonight, we need you in the ground. Loud. Passionate. Together.
"Every voice and every person through the turnstiles makes a real difference. Let’s create the atmosphere we’re known for and show the squad what this club means to its community.
"This club is built on heart, loyalty, and a community that stands tall in tough moments. The owners, staff, volunteers, management, and players are all fighting for the future of this club — and your support tonight can make a huge impact.
"So tonight… be there. Bring friends. Bring noise. Bring belief. Let’s show exactly what this club stands for."
Kick off at Steel Park is 7.45pm, and a win for Corby would see them ris to fourth in the Pitching-In Northern Premier League Midlands Division table.
