Corby Town and Halesowen Town are ready to do battle at Steel Park once again this weekend.

The two clubs are both expected to be challenging for honours in the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central this season and they served up a real thriller in their league meeting last Saturday.

Halesowen seemed to be cruising towards victory when they opened up a 3-0 half-time lead at Steel Park.

But the Steelmen roared back after the break with two goals from Jordon Crawford and one each from Charlie Wise and Connor Furey - his first senior goal for the club - to complete an incredible fightback and a 4-3 victory.

Corby were unable to follow that up on Tuesday night, however, as they were beaten 2-0 at AFC Dunstable as their four-game winning streak was snapped.

The focus now falls on the Buildbase FA Trophy with the Steelmen again taking on the Yeltz at Steel Park.

And while Mills hopes there will be similar entertainment value on offer, he knows his team must stop giving themselves “mountains to climb”.

The Steelmen boss said: “I wouldn’t complain if we got a game like that again, as long as we are on the right side of the result!

“In this sport, you get used to your blood pressure being up and down and everything else that comes with it. That’s what football is all about and I love it.

“We came back from 3-0 down and produced a great performance in the second half but they don’t come along very often like that.

“It’s great when it goes your way but Halesowen are a good side and they will want to back and put it right. We have to make sure that doesn’t happen.

“But we have got to start games better. We are giving ourselves mountains to climb by conceding early goals and we have to stamp that out before it becomes a real issue.

“We have to stop that now because it has made it difficult for us in the last two games. We came back in one but we couldn’t on Tuesday.”
