Bridgwater and Green ready to make most of ‘big opportunity’ at Poppies
"We wouldn't have took the job if we didn't think we could do it."
New Kettering Town joint manager David Bridgwater is relishing the 'big opportunity' he and Nick Green have been handed at Latimer Park.

The pair have stepped up from being assistants to former boss Liam McDonald, and secured a 1-0 win in their first game in charge against Alvechurch on Saturday.
Until the previous week, McDonald had been at the helm, but he made the surprise decision to step away from the role in the midst of a Football Association investigation into historical betting offences.

Owner George Akhtar and director of football Fabian Forde quickly made it clear they were entrusting their faith in McDonald's coaching team, and Bridgwater and Green have taken up that challenge.
Indeed, Bridgwater believes they are more than ready to step up.
"We've been doing this for 14 years with Liam, so we are well versed in it," Bridgwater told Kettering Town's YouTube channel
"We have been Liam's right hand men for all that time, so we've got a lot of experience.
"You would always like to think that at some point you are going to have a go (at managing), and obviously the way it has come about is a strange circumstance, but it is what it is.
"It is a lot more responsibility, and the be all and end all now falls at me and Nick.
"I have known Nick a long time, we work together really well, and we wouldn't have took the job if we didn't think we could do it.
"I want to thank Fab and George for believing in us and giving us the opportunity, because it is a big opportunity.
"But as I say I think me and Nick and are up to it, and we will give it everything and hopefully bring some good football to the club and get them to where they want to be.
"We know that's a big ask though, as there are some good teams in this league that have assembled some good sides.
"So it is going to be tough, but we are enjoying it and the lads have responded really well to us.
"We want to play good, attacking and attractive football, but then obviously be really solid defensively as well."
The Poppies will be aiming to make it two wins out of two on Tuesday night when they travel to newly-promoted Leighton Town (ko 7.45pm).
