Myler, who was included in Stuart Lancaster’s EPS squad alongside Owen Farrell and George Ford, will be up against the highly-rated Sale Sharks fly-half Danny Cipriani.

Both players will be desperate to continue their good club form as they look to secure a place in England’s Six Nations squad, which is set to be named on January 21.

And Dickson is backing Saints half-back partner Myler to see off Cipriani and help table-topping Saints secure an 11th Aviva Premiership victory in 13 games this season.

“It’s going to be interesting, isn’t it?,” said Dickson on the scrap between the two 10s.

“You’ve got two world class 10s playing against each other and two very good teams going against each other.

“It’s small margins in these games. It comes down to goalkicking, field position and things like that.

“I’m always going to lean towards Myler because I’ve played alongside him for so long.

“He’s a world class player and he deserves more than what he gets out of things because he’s been brilliant for this club.”
