Steelbacks fast bowler Brandon Glover snapped up by Oval Invincibles to play in The Hundred

The 23-year-old was handed a contract with the Oval Invincibles in Tuesday's draft, and will play for the Londoners in the competition which is launched in July.

Glover was one of four new picks unveiled by the Invincibles, and joins Steelbacks team-mates Adam Rossington and Josh Cobb in the tournament.

Rossington had already been confirmed as part of the London Spirit squad in the original draft a year ago, while Cobb was unveiled as a Welsh Fire selection earlier on Tuesday.

Head coach David Ripley is also involved in the competition, as he is assistant coach to Shane Warne at London Spirit, while Mohammad Nabi, who will for Northants for the first time this summer in the T20 Blast, will also turn out for the Lord's-based outfit..

South African-born Glover is a Netherlands international, helping the Dutch to the T20 World Cup with a string of match-winning performances in the qualifiers back in 2019.

He joined the Steelbacks ahead of last season, and made his T20 bow for the club in the truncated competition at the end of the 2020 summer.

His team-mates at the Oval Invincibles include Sam Curran, Rory Burns, Jason Roy, Sam Billings and Tom Curran.

In all, there are eight franchises that will be involved in The Hunndred, which will be played for the first time at the end of July.
