Heavy morning rain meant that the County Ground was left in no fit state and an inspection by the umpires, Paul Pollard and Steve O’Shaughnessy, shortly after midday brought a decisive decision that no play would be possible.

The home side will resume their first innings on the final day, which will start 30 minutes earlier at 10.30am, on 146-5.
