Former Northants all-rounder Stevenson dies

Former Northamptonshire all-rounder Graham Stevenson has died at the age of 58.

Born in Yorkshire, Stevenson represented his home county from 1973 until 1986 before moving to Wantage Road for the final year of his career.

He also represented England in two Test matches and four one-day internationals.

In all Stevenson played in 177 first-class matches for Yorkshire, taking 464 wickets at 28.56, scoring 3,856 runs with two centuries and holding on to 73 catches.

However, his Northamptonshire career consisted of just a couple of first-team appearances in his solitary season with the county.

He had been plagued by ill-health in recent years and died in hospital having suffered a severe stroke three months ago.
