The hugely talented 29-year-old delivered an incredibly dominant display, earning a comfortable points win against previously unbeaten Brazilian Adriana Dos Araujo.

At the check weigh in, British Boxing Board of Control officials decided that it would be unsafe for Araujo to try to make the 10-stone weight limit.

Araujo weighed in at 10st 5lbs 11ozs, while Cameron was 9st 11lbs 11ozs.

Here, we take an in-depth look at each round that catapulted Cameron to global glory.

First round: Cameron moves around her heavier, slower opponent, darting in to land combinations of punches and then moving back out to the perimeter of the ring before Araujo can hit her back.

Second round: The Brazilian is relieved to hear the bell after Cameron backed her into a corner and landed some heavy blows in the dying seconds of the round.

Third round: Early in the round they stand and trade punches and Cameron ships a left hook that convinces her to stick to her hit-and-move boxing and she dominates the rest of the session.

Fourth round: Araujo gets close enough to Cameron to unload some punches. Cameron blocks them and replies with a flurry of blows that knock the Brazilian onto her heels and puts Cameron back in charge.

Fifth round: Cameron outpunches Araujo in an exchange early in the round before going back on the move. They trade punches again later in the round and again, Cameron gets the better of it.

Sixth round: Araujo launches a left hook at the bell that missed by inches! Cameron pushes her over when they come together – an impressive show of strength – and though Cameron wins the round clearly, she goes back to her stool with a graze under her right eyebrow. The referee says the wound was caused by a punch which seems unlikely.

Seventh round: Araujo seems encouraged by Cameron’s cut and lets her hands go. Cameron grins and then unloads her own punches. Her attacks drive the Brazilian into a corner and she’s relieved to hear the bell after Cameron spent around 30 seconds teeing off on her.

Eighth round: Cameron sticks to her in-and-out boxing to win another round clearly.

Ninth round: Cameron dominates again. Araujo holds in the dying seconds as she looks to get a break from Cameron’s attacks.

10th round: Araujo comes out swinging – and Cameron stands her ground and punches with her. Cameron wins the exchange and then gets on the back foot to box her way to the final bell and a conclusive points win.
