Kieron Conway showed his class as he brought the vacant WBA Intercontinental super-welterweight title back to Northampton on Friday night.

Conway was in fine form, coming so close to claiming the stoppage against Nav Mansouri at Matchroom Fight Camp.

The Northampton star (15-1-1, 3 KOs) looked superb throughout, eventually winning by unanimous decision against an extremely brave Mansouri (20-4-2, 6 KOs).

After 10 entertaining rounds, the fight went to the scorecards, with the judges scoring it 99-92, 98-92, 98-92 in Conway’s favour.

While Conway may have dominated large portions of the bout, Mansouri showed superb bravery and heart to make it competitive for the entire fight.

Conway now moves closer towards big things following the first title win of his career, with several exciting fights now able to be made in the super-welterweight division.
