Big bouts beckon as Northampton's Cameron signs deal with Hearn's Matchroom Boxing

Northampton boxer Chantelle Cameron is set to land the big bouts she has been craving after signing a multi-fight promotional deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.

Cameron remains undefeated since turning professional, racking up 12 wins from as many bouts, with seven of them coming via knockout.

She is on the cusp of world title action after winning WBC final eliminators in two separate divisions last year.

That secured her spot as mandatory challenger to undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor and super-lightweight ruler Jessica McCaskill.

Cameron is trained by Jamie Moore at the VIP Gym in Astley and managed by MTK Global.

And the 29-year-old's ultimate dream is a huge clash with her idol, Taylor.

Cameron had targeted a bout with Taylor next month, but missed out on that after it was agreed the Irish star would take on Delfine Persoon in a rematch.

But the big bouts are set to be just around the corner for Cameron after penning the important contract with Matchroom.
