Amazon shoppers are snapping up the Shark VacMop as its price falls to £69.99 in the spring sale, making the cordless mop-and-vacuum combo one of the retailer’s hottest deals

Amazon's best-selling vacuum is this £69.99 Shark VacMop - and it's so much more than just a vacuum. As the name suggests, it's a mop and a vacuum in one.

It normally costs £99.99, but there's a 30% discount in the Amazon spring sale, so it's down to its lowest ever price of £69.99.

That makes it the number one best seller in the stick vacuums and electric brooms category, and more than 200 people have bought one in the last month alone.

It uses a disposable pad to provide the complete floor cleaning system, sucking up debris at the same time as spraying the floor with cleaning solution to give it a final polish.

After you've finished, you just push a button and the pad drops into your bin, complete with all the dirt and debris you've just sucked up.

Because it's cordless and very compact, it's easy to just grab and use when you've had a spill or dropped some food on the floor. And it weighs just 1.5kg when the water tank is empty, so it's easy to hang up out of the way.
