"We know customers are shopping for Christmas earlier this year, so we want to make their festive shopping even more rewarding.”

Marks & Spencer is giving shoppers the chance to earn an extra £15 towards their Christmas shopping with three new offers available through its Sparks loyalty scheme.

The retailer has introduced the festive rewards as new research reveals almost half of British shoppers have already started buying presents for Christmas, with many looking for ways to make their money go further.

Running until January 1, 2027, the offers allow existing and new Sparks customers to earn up to £15 in their Sparks wallet by purchasing selected drinks, flowers and food at M&S Cafés.

Each qualifying purchase earns £5, meaning shoppers who complete all three offers can collect the full £15 to spend at M&S.

For existing Sparks customers in England and Wales, the first offer provides £5 when spending £25 on Delacourt Champagne, with a choice of ten varieties including Brut and Rosé.

Customers in Scotland can instead earn £5 by spending £20 on soft drinks and mixers.

A second offer gives existing customers £5 when purchasing flowers online, with options including letterbox bouquets priced at £25, Freesia bouquets at £28 and the Rose Bright bouquet at £45.

The third reward is available when spending £20 at an M&S Café.

Shoppers could qualify by enjoying lunch for two, with the retailer highlighting its popular Yorkshire Pudding Wraps, priced at £8.50 each, and Creamy Hazelnut Lattes at £4.45.

New Sparks members can also earn the £15 reward, although their offers are slightly different.

They can collect £5 when spending £20 on soft drinks and mixers, £5 when buying flowers in-store and another £5 when spending £20 at an M&S Café.

To claim the rewards, customers must activate the relevant offers through the M&S app before shopping and scan their Sparks card at checkout.

The money is then added to their Sparks wallet once the qualifying offers have been completed.

The promotion comes as research commissioned by M&S found 44 per cent of UK shoppers have already made their first Christmas-related purchase, with an average of £377.90 expected to be spent on presents.

Almost half of those surveyed, 47 per cent, said they were looking for discounts, special offers or loyalty rewards to help stretch their festive budgets.

More than a quarter, 27 per cent, save their rewards for the Christmas food shop, while 14 per cent admit to treating themselves while buying presents for others.

Sharry Cramond, marketing and loyalty director at M&S, said: "We know customers are shopping for Christmas earlier this year, so we want to make their festive shopping even more rewarding.

"With three new special Sparks offers, customers can earn up to £15 into their Sparks wallet as they shop, helping them tick off their Christmas list and get things wrapped up before the big day.

"And with new offers every week, there are plenty more opportunities to earn. After all, getting your Christmas shopping done early deserves a little reward!"

M&S relaunched its Sparks loyalty programme earlier this year, with new offers arriving in the app every Tuesday.

The latest promotion is available to both existing and new members, although customers should check their individual offers and any applicable terms and conditions before making purchases.

Shoppers can find out more, sign up to Sparks and access their offers through the official Marks & Spencer website or the M&S app.
