Silk’n dual LED mask review: £399 anti-ageing device that delivers real results (aff)

LED masks vary wildly in price and capabilities but I've found one that ticks every box. The Silk'n Dual LED mask, £399, is not the cheapest mask on the market but the results, with regular use, are outstanding.

You need a little patience but use it 3-5 times a week to begin with and prepare to be astounded by the difference it makes.

This is a powerful and advanced red light mask which uses red, dark-red and Near-Infrared LED technology to reduce fine lines and produce a visibly more even skin tone. Mode 1 sets out to soothe lines, wrinkles, rebuild collagen and boost microcirculation. This was my go-to setting. But you also choose M2 for brighter and smoother skin or M3 that balances oil secretion and soothes sensitive skin.

It also has a blue LED mode, which you use through the controller, targeting post-blemish marks and breakout-related redness.

The mask emits 40,000 light pulses per second from 115 LED lights. They penetrate deeply, stimulating collagen and rejuvenating your skin in a short space of time. In fact you need to use it up to five times a week for the first four weeks and after that just once or twice a week.

It shuts down automatically after 10 minutes so you can't overcook. In addition to the light modes, you can choose from different levels of intensity.

I love the fact that it's both comfortable to wear - thanks to soft but robust silicone - and that you're able to stay mobile while using it. Just use the straps to secure it in place, fire it up and then get on with other things.

I've got into a routine of using it post-shower, and popping the remote control in my dressing gown pocket. But I know many people regard LED masks as a relaxing treat and an opportunity to put their feet up for 10 minutes.
