Amazon’s most popular Windows laptop has shot up the charts thanks to a sub-£150 price, solid reviews and specs users say are ideal for everyday home use.
Amazon’s best-selling Windows laptop right now is also one of the cheapest you can buy – and it comes from a big-name brand shoppers already trust. The HP 14s-dq3001sa has surged up the charts thanks to a £149.99 price tag, strong user reviews and specs buyers say are spot-on for everyday home use.

The 14-inch laptop, made by HP, has earned Amazon’s Choice status and a solid 4.3 out of 5 star rating from more than 1,000 reviews. More than 500 have been bought in the past month alone, with many buyers saying it is ideal for emails, browsing, streaming and general day-to-day tasks.
At this price, deals usually come with compromises, but this one covers the basics well. It runs Windows 11 out of the box and includes a full 12-month Microsoft 365 Personal subscription, giving access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage.
Under the hood, the laptop uses an Intel Celeron N4500 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage. That setup is designed for everyday computing rather than heavy workloads, which is exactly what most buyers say they use it for. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handle video streaming smoothly, and the anti-glare HD display keeps things comfortable for longer sessions.
Reviews regularly describe it as “perfect for average home use”, with buyers highlighting how easy it is to set up and how good the value feels compared with other budget laptops.
For anyone who just wants a reliable Windows laptop from a recognisable brand without paying premium prices, this deal is clearly hitting the sweet spot. You can check the latest price and full specs on the HP 14-inch Windows laptop at Amazon.
It is also worth noting that Amazon’s best-selling laptop overall is not a Windows machine at all, but a Mac – and it comes with a much heavier price tag. Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air with the new M4 chip currently tops the charts, priced at £876 even after a discount, with a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, 16GB of memory and battery life rated at up to 18 hours.
Despite Apple’s cult-like popularity, the much cheaper HP still runs it surprisingly close in the rankings. While the MacBook Air is the aspirational choice, the £149.99 HP is the one shoppers are actually buying in huge numbers – because for everyday home use, many are deciding the budget option simply makes more sense.
