Zigzag Preschool holding an open day as it re-opens in Corby

Zigzag Preschool in Corby is re-opening under new management and holding an open day for families to have a look around.

Sammy Blakeston, the new manager of Zigzag Preschool, said: “Sadly we previously closed due to the rough time of Covid but we are back, after many meetings myself and the owner Karolina Khan decided now is the perfect time to open our doors again.

"We are the sister setting to Zigzag day nursery which is based in Corby town centre, Elizabeth Street.”

Sammy says childcare has been her passion for 13 years, adding: “In the current financial situation with the cost of living rising, we want to offer the best rate we can to help those families in need of childcare.

"We offer a fantastic rate under £6hr with sessions available.

"We also accept two, three and four-year-old funding.

"Our home from home environment gives good quality childcare and learning opportunities, meeting the needs of each individual child.

"Inside our beautiful church building you will find activities set daily following the children’s own interests, this promotes the best learning outcomes and goals the children set themselves.

"Our extra large sand tray is the main vocal point, children have the most amazing imagination.

"Out in our garden you will find a huge tree creating a woodland setting for children to explore, tree swing coming soon.

"At Zigzag we make sure creativity is always available, with many resources available to freely access.

"Encouraging children to learn about their world is important to us, we have planters for wildflowers along with the growth of seasonal fruit and veg.

"Everyone loves a mud kitchen, let's make mud pie, silly soup and leafy shakes using natural and manmade resources.”
