Investigators believe the 30-year-old woman was driving from Wollaston towards Bozeat when her vehicle collided with a silver Hyundai i30 travelling in the opposite direction.

They also say that a Black Jeep Renegade travelling in the same direction as the Ford also got caught up in the collision, which occured at around 8.30pm on Thursday (November 5).

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "The driver of the Ford was transported to University Hospital Coventry where she remains with serious injuries.

"Two people in the Hyundai — a 44-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl — both received minor injuries."
