A woman was left with bruising and swelling to her head after being assaulted outside a school in Wellingborough.

The 19-year-old was allegedly assaulted by a man at some point between 8.50am and 9.10am on Tuesday, March 8, outside Olympic Primary School, in Olympic Way.

Members of the public did witness the incident and police officers would like to speak to them, particularly a man who told the offender to stop.

The woman sustained bruising and swelling to her head as a result of the incident.
