Wellingborough fire fighters have been at the scene in Queen Street this afternoon (Saturday) with an aerial appliance from Moulton assessing the dangerous structure, with heavy winds swirling around the county.

The structure was deemed so dangerous that police closed Queen Street with people told to avoid the area.

Just after 6pm tonight Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said Queen Street and Salem Lane, which link High Street and Herriotts Lane, would be closed for at least 48 hours.
