A van driver is alleged to have hit a pedestrian in Corby's Oakley Road.

The incident happened between 7am and 7.45am on Saturday, July 18, near the junction of Tesco Express and Station Road.

Northants Police said the white van is alleged to have struck a 48-year-old man on the eastbound carriageway.

A spokesman said the van drove off before returning a short time later and the driver spoke with police.

The pedestrian was checked at the scene by ambulance paramedics, but did not appear to have any injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with information is asked to call Northants Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
