Firefighters were called out after a van fire spread to six other cars and a number of trees nearby.

Crews from Desborough, Moulton, Corby and the water bowser from Kettering attended the blaze just before 11.30am today (Tuesday) in Cransley.

A spokesman for Northants Fire said: "This happened in Loddington Road, Cransley, near to Bugtopia when a transit van caught fire and spread to six other cars and some conifers.

"The fire is now out but the vehicles are severely damaged."

The spokesman added that no cause has been ascertained as yet.
