UPDATE: Body found during search for missing Amber Peat
A body has been found during the search for 13-year-old Amber Peat who went missing from her home in Nottinghamshire on Saturday (May 30).
The announcement was made by Nottinghamshire Police last night, hours after an appeal was shared by Northamptonshire Police to help find her.
No formal identification of the body, which was found on an estate near Amber’s home in Mansfield Park, has yet taken place, but her parents have been informed and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police have thanked everyone in the local community for their help during the search and enquiries are still ongoing at the scene.
