Desborough Town moved into the top 10 in the Future Lions United Counties League Premier Division as they claimed a 2-1 success over Peterborough Northern Star at the R Inn Stadium.

Ar Tarn went a goal down but levelled before half-time when Aidan Bradshaw reacted first to head home after his initial effort had been saved by Quincy Shorunmu.

Shorunmu produced a superb display in the Northern Star goal in the second half and made four superb saves to keep the hosts at bay.

But Desborough finally found a way past him through Ty Clark in the latter stages as they sealed their third league win of the campaign.

Elsewhere, it was a tough day for the local clubs as Wellingborough Town were beaten 4-1 by county rivals Cogenhoe United.
