UPDATE: Contractors on site to make dangerous Higham Ferrers wall safe
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Contractors are on site to carry out work on a dangerous wall at Higham Ferrers' Chichele College.
Stones fell from the college's perimeter wall more than a week ago, leading to the closure of College Street for safety reasons.

Hide AdBut Saffron Road was also closed after more stones came away from the wall, as reported by the Northants Telegraph yesterday (Tuesday).


Northamptonshire Highways has since updated residents on the situation, saying contractors are on site and they hope to be able to re-open Saffron Road later today.
A tweet from @NNHighways says: "Saffron Road @HighamFerrersTC Currently closed due to an unsafe wall but contractors will be on site today to make safe and we should be able to reopen the road later today.
"Sorry for any inconvenience and we will keep you up to date."
