Tailbacks on the A45 following early-morning crash near Wilby roundabout on Wednesday

Motorists are facing delays on the A45 on Wednesday morning after an accident partially blocked the road near Wellingborough.

Highways England reports traffic is queuing back westbound following the smash which has closed one lane between the Wilby roundabout and Earls Barton.

The agency warns it could take until 10am for the incident to clear and advises drivers to seek an alternative route where possible.
