One lane closed on A14 in Northamptonshire after lorry sheds load of glass

Drivers are being warned to expect delays heading out of Northamptonshire on the A14 after a lorry shed a load of glass on the carriageway.

Highways England has closed one lane westbound between Junction One at Welford and the Catthorpe Interchange during Wednesday's morning rush hour to deal with the mess.

A spokesman for the agency said: "Our traffic officers are currently at scene and maintenance crews are on their way to the area to assist.

"But the clear-up operation could take a while so please be warned there may be delays to your journey."
