Multi-vehicle smash blocks main road near Wellingborough

Emergency services are dealing with a multiple-vehicle pile-up near Wellingborough on early Thursday morning.

The A509 is closed between Wollaston and Bozeat following the smash at just after 8am.

Fire crews are in attendance and are advising drivers heading from Wellingborough to Bedford and Milton Keynes to avoid the area if possible.

Traffic is being diverted through Wollaston.
