Operator East Midlands Railway reported a fault on one of its trains means road transport will be operating on early-morning journeys.

National Rail Enquiries journey planner shows the 0710 and 0810 departures from Corby plus the 0742 from Kettering to Corby all cancelled with 20-minute bus journeys connecting the two towns.

An East MIdlands Railway spokesman said: "The faulty train is being rescued, shortly returning to depot. We're sourcing a replacement train to run our Corby-Kettering route services this morning; until then, buses replace trains, departing in line with the timetable."
