A serious collision has forced the closure of a major route in and out of Northampton.
Just before 8pm Northamptonshire Police said: “Motorists are advised to avoid the A45 between Great Billing Way and Great Doddington in both directions following a serious road traffic collision.
“The road is likely to remain closed for some time.”
Diversions are in place.
