Rail passengers from Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough face another weekend without trains as work continues on a £1.5billion scheme to electrify the route to London.
Three new substations will be tested and a new 400kV supply point installed to feed power to the trains when East Midlands Railway's new all-electric services starts running through Northamptonshire to and from St Pancras in December 2020.

Hide AdBut that means replacement buses for passengers between Leicester and Corby and Bedford on Saturday (February 22) and between Leicester and Corby and Luton on Sunday (February 23).
EMR is urging passengers to check journeys before travelling via the eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk or National Rail Enquiries website as there will be a reduced service and journey times will take longer than usual.
