A45 closed heading towards Northampton as police deal with crash

A main road in Northamptonshire is closed due to an earlier accident.

The A45 is blocked near to Junction 11 for Great Doddington on the Westbound carriageway heading towards Northampton.

Police were called at around 8.45am this morning (July 3) to a single vehicle crash.

Officers initially closed just one lane and the slip road, however they have now had to close the whole carriageway in order to remove the vehicle.

A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police has confirmed that one male has been taken to hospital. The nature and seriousness of his injuries are not yet known.
