A43 closed in Northamptonshire following "serious police incident"

The A43 is closed northbound from its junction with the A14

Drivers are being warned to avoid a stretch of the A43 in Northamptonshire during Monday's morning rush hour.

Highways England say the road is closed northbound from Junction 7 of the A14 due to a "serious police incident".

Sensors are showing traffic tailing back for for more than three miles on the A14 back to Junction Four.

A spokesman for the agency said: "Northamptonshire Police are on scene and please allow extra time if you require to travel this route."
