Rush-hour queues building as emergency services bid to recover vehicle

The A14 is closed near Kettering this morning (Tuesday March 3) after a van and trailer jacknifed and near junction nine.

The trailer overturned and struck the central reservation barrier, blocking all three lanes westbound.

Emergency services are on the scene but Highways England warned recovery will last throughout the morning rush-hour.

Traffic is being diverted up and over the junction but queues built up quickly on the A14 and the A509 as traffic struggled to join the main carriageway.

The incident was first reported at around 6.30am and by 7am quues on the A14 were back beyond junction ten at Burton Latimer, around seven miles,
