Thug punches Burton Latimer boy after kicking away his football

A 15-year-old boy was punched by a man who also kicked his football over a fence.

The victim was playing football with friends in the Recreation Ground, Pioneer Avenue, Burton Latimer, between 6pm and 6.20pm, on Wednesday, January 6, when he was approached by a man who kicked the football over a fence and then told the victim to go and get it back.

When the victim refused the offender punched him, leaving him with bruising and swelling.

The offender was a white man, about 5ft 11in and of medium build, with a tattoo on his neck.

He was with a woman at the time of the incident.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
