Teaming up to help the '˜engineers of tomorrow'

RS is supporting the UK Land Rover 4x4 in Schools Technology Challenge by supplying 200 Raspberry Pi 2 starter kits for all the schools competing in this year’s competition.

The kit enables competing students to incorporate computer-based controls into the designs of their Land Rover 4x4 in Schools vehicle.

Mark Wemyss-Holden, UK project manager of Land Rover 4x4 in Schools, said: “It’s great to have RS on board with us and we welcome the support that they are giving us for this year’s Regional Finals and the National Final.

“There are clear links between the products that RS offers and our challenge, so it is a very appropriate partnership.

“We reach out to students and schools engaging with the Land Rover 4x4 in Schools Technology Challenge across the UK and this exposure for RS will, I am sure, generate positive awareness.
