Snowfall across Northamptonshire overnight... but should we expect more on Sunday?

Northamptonshire County Council, who are responsible for gritting the roads, sent out a weather warning last night.

However, although it correctly predicted last night’s snow, it said more significant snowfall is unlikely, with Sunday being a “largely dry and cold day with variable cloud.” However,

The highways team added: “There will be the chance of some patchy light rain and sleet during the late afternoon. Cloudy in the evening with sleet dying out.”

Later in the day, there will be “only slight further falls” in parts of the county before it “dies out”.
