Search for missing woman in Northamptonshire sadly ends after police find her deceased

A missing 83-year-old woman who yesterday was the focus of a search by Northamptonshire Police has sadly been found deceased.

The force shared a short appeal and a picture of the missing lady on Saturday (April 25), reporting that she had last been seen in the Stoke Bruerne area of Northamptonshire between 9.15am and 9.30am on the same day.

Sadly, the police confirmed today that an 83-year-old woman found yesterday afternoon has been identified as the missing person.

In a short statement on Facebook, a spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: "Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.

"A post mortem examination is due to take in the coming days. We are not treating the death as suspicious."
