These providers offer a variety of training programmes for those interested in teaching in early years, primary, secondary or special schools. Those attending the event will get the opportunity to meet current trainee teachers and those who have just started their first year of teaching in local schools.

Other exhibitors at the event include Student Finance UK, UCAS, NCTL and a local housing company with incentives for first-time teachers.

Matthew Edwards, deputy headmaster at NSB, said’ “It is great that our schools are working together to tackle this issue as we know that over the

next few years it is going to become much harder to recruit high-quality teachers.

“This is one part of a broader campaign that we are running trying to get more people to come and teach in Northamptonshire or to return to teaching.

“This is a great county to live in and teaching remains an incredibly rewarding profession to be involved in.”
