Road closed near Wellingborough after car crashes into tree

A road in a village near Wellingborough was closed this morning after a car crashed into a tree.

Northamptonshire Police said it received reports that a car had crashed into a tree in Orlingburgh Road, Great Harrowden, at about 6.15am this morning (Thursday).

Orlingbury Road was closed at Hardwick Road, which runs through nearby Little Harrowden.

One man was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.
