A Corby councillor has resigned with immediate effect.

Labour councillor Lucy Goult, who represented the town's Lloyds ward, has tendered her resignation as a councillor with immediate effect, due to personal reasons.

A spokesman for Corby Council said: "As there are less than six months to full local elections there will be no by-election called."

Anyone with matters relating to the Lloyds ward can be addressed to the two other ward councillors, Cllr Mark Pengelly or Cllr Matt Reay.
