Visitors to four town centres in East Northants now have information about each at their fingertips thanks to the launch of new apps.

East Northants Council worked with town councils in Rushden, Higham Ferrers, Thrapston and Irthlingborough on individual apps which provide a central resource for businesses, retailers, local services, charities and community groups to promote and support their town.

Cllr Steven North, Leader of East Northamptonshire Council, said: “It has been great to work with four of our town councils on this project and use partnership working to further help high streets across the district bounce back from the pandemic.

“Ensuring we support small businesses in East Northants has been a priority for us and the apps will provide an extra, easy marketing tool for business owners to use, as well as everyone who wants to shop local.”

The apps have been funded through East Northamptonshire Council’s Recovery Through Enterprise funding and have been set up by UK Town Apps in conjunction with each council.
