Police not treating sudden death in Corby as suspicious

Police have said they are not treating the sudden death of a man in Corby as suspicious.

Officers were called to a house in Pages Walk at 5.20pm on Tuesday following reports that a man in his 40s had died.

A spokesman for Northants Police said they were keeping an open mind as to the circumstances of his death and were awaiting the outcome of a post mortem examination due to be held yesterday.

The spokesman has today (Thursday) said: "Following an investigation, we are not treating the death of a man in Pages Walk, Corby, on Tuesday, June 2, as suspicious, and are currently preparing a report for the coroner.”

The spokesman also confirmed that a man and a woman were arrested on Tuesday following the sudden death but have been released without charge and no further action is being taken against them.
