Police called to sudden death in Corby park

Police were called to Coronation Park in Elizabeth Street, Corby, this afternoon following a sudden death there.

A man was found lying on the grass behind the blind garden by a friend and parts of the park were cordoned off.

Sadly, he was declared dead.

His body was driven away from the scene at 5.45pm by undertakers.

No formal identification has yet taken place but the man is believed to be a well-known member of the town’s rough sleeping community.

His death is not currently thought to be being treated as suspicious.
