Year 6 pupils say goodbye to county's primary schools with proms and parties

Covid-19 has made their final year one to remember

As children across towns and villages across north Northamptonshire, Year 6 leavers have had one of the most unusual ends to a term there has ever been.

As they were preparing for their final year SATS, lockdown was imposed and home-schooling became the new normal.

Many Year 6 students were brought back into the classrooms but concerts, parties and plays were cancelled due to restrictions in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite lockdown many pupils still had socially-distanced farewells with teachers and proud parents.
