Wollaston swimming sensation in last three of BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year competition

Maisie Summers-Newton, who won gold in September at the Para-swimming World Championships in London, is up against skateboarder Sky Brown and boxer Caroline Dubois for the title.

Crowned world champion, Maisie beat her own world record to take the SM6 200m individual medley, with defending Paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds back in fourth.

Maisie came home with three medals from the Para-swimming World Championships - gold in the medley, silver in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m freestyle.

She also won best junior female athlete in the Para-swimming World Series.

Last year the 17-year-old, who attends Wollaston School, won two gold medals at the European Championships in Dublin, and set two world records.

The winner of Young Sports Personality of the Year award will be announced at 6pm on Sunday, November 24, on the BBC Sport website and app.

BBC Sports Personality of the Year takes place in Aberdeen on Sunday, December 15.
