A spokesman for Wellingborough Council said: "Garden waste (brown bin) collections will stop over the winter period.

"Your last collection will be either week commencing November 9 or 16, depending on whether you put your brown bin out with your green or black bin."

Collection dates for the festive season have also been revealed.

The spokesman added: "Collection days will change over the Christmas and new year period. Collections will be a day earlier than usual, so please check and make sure you put your bin out on the right day."

Brown bin collections will restart in March 2021.

During the time collections have been suspended garden waste can be taken to the household waste recycling centres, or composted at home.
