When is Corby Urgent Care Centre open this weekend?
The centre caters for anyone with a minor injury or an illness
The people who run Corby Urgent Care Centre are reminding people their service remains open as usual over the bank holiday weekend.
The Corby 8-8 is open 365 days of the year and has been successful in taking the pressure off our local A&E departments.
But those who suspect they have coronavirus should not visit the service - instead they should stay at home and seek advice from 111.
The centre caters for anyone who urgent but non-life-threatening medical issues and no appointment is necessary - just turn up and speak to the receptionists.
Run by OnePrimaryCare on behalf of the NHS, the service in Cottingham Road is open from 8am until 8pm every day of the year.
Simone Ritson, Service Coordinator at Corby Urgent Care Centre, said: “We hope that everyone has a safe and enjoyable bank holiday weekend. However, following the recent easing of outdoor restrictions from the government, now allowing unlimited exercise, the likelihood of accidents will naturally increase. We want our patients to be safe in the knowledge that if they do need urgent medical assistance, Corby Urgent Care Centre will be operating as normal.
“We remain open to everyone, but if you have symptoms of Covid-19 including a dry, continuous cough, high temperature or a loss or change to your senses of smell and taste, please stay at home and call 111 for medical advice.”
No appointment is needed, simply arrive at the centre and register at the reception desk.
