Wellingborough’s Eastfield Park will soon be getting new artwork in its underpass, courtesy of Made with Many and artist Tony Nero.
Beginning October 12, weekly meetings are being held at St Mark’s Church to devise and discuss ideas for the mural before the painting goes ahead in the autumn half-term.

Eastfield Park’s underpass has been subject to graffiti and is in a general state of disrepair, and was specifically chosen to make it safer and more pleasant for people that rely on it.
Peterborough-based artist Tony Nero offered his services to help guide the event and assist with the handling of the mural, which will hope to capture the spirit of the local area.
After the mural is completed meetings will continue, with two more as-yet unannounced projects in the pipeline. These gatherings are planned until the Christmas holidays, and will be a regular occurrence in 2023 and beyond, focusing on anything from photography to music.
