Between them, the sisters have three sons each, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Iris and Blanche both married within a year of each other when they were in their 20s, but sadly their husbands Jack and Fred are no longer with them, but

They each had two sons and 10 years later they both coincidentally had their third sons.

The twins say they have seen a lot of changes to Wellingborough since they were born there and lived in Broad Green with older brother Bob, younger brother John and sisters Jill and Jean.

Iris was the town's carnival queen not long after the war.

The sisters still get out and about in Wellingborough and used to regularly play bowls and Blanche was captain at Embankment Golf Club for a year.

Daughter-in-law Janet said many people in Wellingborough would recognise the twins.
