Nene Valley Crematorium, which overlooks the picturesque landscape between Millers Park in Wellingborough and Great Doddington, achieved gold standard as judged by the industry’s assessors for excellence, the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management.

The prestigious award, which is associated with The Charter for the Bereaved Assessment process for Burial and Cremation, reflects the standard of service provided at the crematorium which opened in September 2016.

Tracy Lawrence, crematorium manager, said: “We are so proud to have maintained a gold accreditation. The team is dedicated to providing a tailor-made service during what is often a very difficult time for family and friends.

“I feel very proud be part of a dedicated team who believe in what they do to ensure their recipients’ needs are accommodated for, with the utmost care.

"The Charter supports the expansion and improvement of services and seeks to educate people about bereavement.
